I struggled in school early on and so learned the usefulness of putting in the extra time with people who can help. I ended up becoming a great student and ultimately I think a great tutor. I have a BA in experimental psychology from Oxford University and am currently pursuing a master's degree in linguistics at Hofstra University. I've been tutoring with varsity tutors for a while and before that helped teach a middle school math team as well as study groups of my younger sister's friends. I tutor for the ACT, SAT, GRE as well as school subjects. I tend to teach differently for each student as everyone learns differently. Tutoring is wonderful for me because I love to see the moment someone understands something. Otherwise, I love reading, hiking, rock climbing, and games.
