I am a mom of three and the spouse of a United States Marine. My oldest two children graduated with IB diplomas and have now completed their college adventures; one in business and one in biology. My youngest is currently in 7th grade and is passionate about animal rescue and health science.

My background in education has been very diverse. I started off helping out at a Montessori school when my oldest two children were in preschool. I worked there part-time while working on my undergraduate degree. This philosophy of teaching gave me the true insight that children really are sponges and can learn anything they are exposed to.

After completing my degree in biology, I ultimately taught science for eight years in the high school setting. I have taught biology, chemistry, IPC, physics, anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. During that time, I also worked 10 years in a clinical lab setting as a cytogenetic technologist.

While teaching, I found that I had many students that didn't speak English as their first language. I was trying to teach them biology, which is a language in itself, and they couldn't understand English. As a result, I decided to get my Master's degree in education to teach ESL so I would be better prepared for those students.

Currently, I am loving being the wife of a Marine and the traveling that goes along with that title. Tutoring online allows me the flexibility to provide an income to my family while being able to be with my family.
