I am a Maryland native having attended Walt Whitman High School. From there, I continued my education at the University of Michigan where I earned a B.S. in Microbiology with minors in Applied Statistics and American Culture. I graduated this past December and am excited to be able to share my knowledge with students who are in the shoes I was in not so long ago. I started my tutoring career in Middle School helping elementary school students after school with their homework. In high school, I started rowing and became immersed in the rowing world, becoming senior captain. Alongside rowing in high school, I pursued music through playing guitar and bass clarinet. While I did not tutor as much, I did rely heavily on peer study sessions in college both helping and getting help from my friends. Throughout college, I was immersed deeply in the Latinx population as President of my sorority to Participant Liaison of a Latinx interest orientation program and finally the commencement speaker representing the Latinx population at UofM. Furthermore, I played rugby throughout college (as a Forward) and loved every minute of it! Eventually becoming captain, I felt I missed rowing quite a bit. So, on my last year of studies, I decided to coach for the local high school's rowing club in Michigan, becoming the Head Novice Men's Coach working with first year rowers. With that said, my education at Michigan offered me a plethora of opportunities. The subjects I've preffered to tutor is english and reading as well as Math! I do love science as well! Overall, I have found that the best style of teaching stems from the student itself! Being able to work off their passions is very beneficial in opening up their habits and skills for school and classes. Finally, I want to be able to teach the students lessons they can take beyond the classroom into real world situations.
