Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Utah State University, my major was chemistry and I have a minor in physics teaching. My emphasis for my chemistry degree has been education and I am currently finishing my student teaching. My whole life I have enjoyed learning and helping others learn. It has always been interesting to me that two people can have knowledge and understanding on a concept but the route that they took to learn that concept was completely different. I don't think there is just one way to learn or one way to understand, because of this I try multiple methods and paths to help students learn. I currently tutor chemistry and physics; my favorite one to tutor would be chemistry because it is my favorite science. I believe that each student should feel successful with each new concept or goal they have reached. I will bring my own examples to students to help tutor them in that concept and we will work towards them doing their teachers/professors problems by themselves. This way they feel as if they did the work completely by themselves!
