Hi! I am Liga ("Leega"). I have always enjoyed math, statistics and applications of math since elementary school and high school. When I was an undergraduate at Stanford University, I decided to study quantitative economics because I could apply math for the good of society and teach, do research and help people. I continued studying international economics in Graduate school too and received a Masters degree. I have applied math and economics for most of my career either in big companies, for the government or for consulting firms. I really enjoy teaching high school and middle school students. I also really like the outdoors and when I am not reading and teaching, I spend time with my teens and may friends sailing, skiing, hiking, kayaking, biking and swimming too. I also like to play the piano and enjoy all sorts of music, classical, jazz, rock, 80's tunes and even rap, as long as it has decent music and lyrics that tell a story. I can help teach you how to be successful in math... how to break down the problem into doable steps and feel successful.
