Thirty two years of classroom experience, teaching all levels of high school math, has lead me to the conclusion that a student's struggle in her or his current class is generally due to not having heard the explanation or breakdown of the concept that hits home for that individual; gives the student what some call an "A ha!" moment. My gift is my ability to find multiple ways of explaining all concepts, allowing us to find that moment of understanding that inevitably leads to success.

I easily find applications of the math being studied that are tailored to the interest of the individual that I am working with.

As your tutor I can offer the individual attention to you and help you understand the work that is currently challenging you as well as identifying and filling any gaps of understanding that are causing and/or adding to this struggle.

My experiences as a parent and as a teacher and coach have given me the tools to work with students having a variety of challenges that may be impacting learning, retention, and test taking both inside and outside of the classroom.
