Starr: Garden Grove tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a recent graduate of Columbia University who loves to tutor! I first began tutoring in high school as a member of my school's National Honor Society. I tutored fellow high school students in a variety of subjects and found that I loved having the opportunity to help students with their schoolwork and see their growth. Thus, I decided to continue tutoring after high school because I found it so rewarding. It is a wonderful feeling to have students inform me that they received a good grade and see the confidence that accompanies their improvement in a subject. My number one goal as a tutor is to help instill confidence in my students so that they know they have what it takes to succeed!
In addition to tutoring, I enjoy running, dancing, playing the piano, and performing in theatre productions. I have a very strong work ethic when it comes to both my academic and artistic pursuits, and I hope to encourage that kind of work ethic in my students as well because I have found that being disciplined leads to great success! As a tutor, I strive not only to help students get good grades, but also to help them find the dedication and confidence within themselves to accomplish anything they put their minds to.
