Hi! My name is Heena Takhtani. I am currently a Biology major at Montclair State University. I will be graduating this year in August 2018. I am also a pre-medical student, applying for medical school this year. I applied for this tutoring job because I have many certifications and awards with honors societies within my biology major, a competitive GPA, and experience tutoring other students at school within my major. I believe that students have truly mastered material when they can explain that material without looking at the text because, during an exam, you don't get reference material. Secondly, students should be able to apply those concepts to real life situations, because much of my college exams, were not ONLY memorization exams, and much of my lab work was not based ONLY on memorization.
