I am a graduate of Georgia State University. I received my Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Economics with a minor in Spanish and focus on Urban Studies/Quantitative Methods. During my time at GSU, I participated in three study abroad programs in Spain to learn the Spanish language and immerse myself in the culture, in Japan to compete in a Model United Nations conference, and in Morocco to compete and mentor students in a Model Arab League conference. I received multiple academic scholarships and fellowships during my undergraduate and graduate career and held positions as a Resident Assistant, Student Assistant, and Part-Time Nanny. Since graduation, I have worked in the hospitality industry and am currently working in finance. Areas of study that I am most passionate about include Hospitality, Economics, English, and Writing. In my experience helping students prepare essays, speeches, and strategies for conferences was always very exciting and fun. Although times were difficult when students reached a plateau during preparation, I always found a creative way for students to take a break and return with a motivated mindset prepared to face any challenge. In graduate school, I found teaching classmates how to solve formulas or understand policies most helpful in my studying. When a classmate was struggling to understand how I found a result, I often took the time to break down every step to help them learn and hence improve their performance, which was a very rewarding experience. I grew up in a household where attaining an education was emphasized and I am a firm supporter of education, believing it fosters personal and professional growth, ambition, and an improved quality of life. I try to influence my students to recognize that there various types of educational programs that can open doors for opportunities. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, trying new cuisines, reading, personal finance, yoga, running, and traveling.
