I am an educator with over 18 year of experience teaching elementary students, middle school students, at-risk students and special education students. I received my Bachelor's degree from Indiana University in Criminal Justice. Several years later, I decided that I wanted to teach. I completed a Master's degree in Education at Central Methodist University and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Missouri. I most recently earned a Master's degree in Special Education from Western Governors University.
I enjoy watching students learn and seeing the excitement in their eyes when they master a concept. I struggled with math in elementary school which is why I decided to focus on elementary and middle school math. I spend time working with my students to determine which methods work best for them to learn important concepts.
When I am away from the classroom, I spend time reading, camping, fishing, and traveling. Some of my favorite places to visit are the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, and the American Southwest.
