Learning is hard when you cannot visualize the concept, and you cannot visualize the concept if you are not taught why you should care. If you care about something, you will learn all about it. My job is to first, show you why you should care, and second, visualize it.
I am currently a 3rd year medical student. I recently prepared and took the USMLE STEP1 examinations. My knowledge in my field of study is fresh and ready to go. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology with Human Emphasis from Brigham Young University-Idaho (2014). The subjects I tutor are anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, biology, cell biology, college biology, genetics, high school biology, immunology, MCAT biological and biochemical foundations of living systems, medicine, microbiology, pharmacology and science. I love teaching anything biology related. I find biology extremely interesting and relevant to all aspects of life, human especially. There are so many life events that can be explained if you have a good grip on biology! I enjoy teaching others and helping them on their road to success. The way that I try to teach others is by finding out what works for them. I am a very visual learner, but I have developed other approaches such as lecture or "by the book". I find that getting to know people helps when you teach. If you can "mirror" a student, you can get an idea on how they think, if you know how they think, you can figure out how they will be able to learn.
Outside of academia, I enjoy weight lifting, playing guitar, video games and attending or watching strongman events, professional sports, learning new skills and a good chat with anyone about anything.
