By speaking, understanding and learning language we can enrich ourselves culturally and open our eyes to the richness of our human being. That is not a quote. It is something i believe, MYSELF, to be true. When I attended Central High School in Philadelphia, PA Spanish class was the ONLY class that I felt I was actually learning something useful. I'm now attending Lincoln University in Pennsylvania in my senior year and Spanish has opened up new pathways for me. I was able to travel to Ecuador for an entire semester as required for my Spanish Major and the experience was overly satisfying. Being able to speak a second language gave me the chance to experience another culture as if it was my own and that what I want to promote to others.

Language is a barrier but it is also the door that we need to open to understand more our human race.
