Hi there, I am excited to be part of your learning success. I believe in encouragement, empowerment, and confidence with learning. In order to accomplish this, my style of teaching is working together as a team (you and I) so you can understand the material rather than memorize. Active learning is essential to accomplish this. Sometimes we will play games and hands-on problems to work on. I try to make a subject interesting.

I have been a Registered Nurse since 1994 and a Nurse Practitioner since 2007. I finished my Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2011.

I work full time in the School of Nursing at Concordia University-Wisconsin and also work in a Family Practice clinic as a nurse practitioner. Teaching patients and students is my passion. This is why I now teach full time yet also make a small amount of time with patients.

I am married with 5 children and 3 grandchildren. I love to read, do crafts, and take dance lessons with my husband.
