After earning a B.A. in Communications at Truman State University, I worked in multiple fields to gain experience in the customer service realm. While I loved helping people, I also fell deeper in love with writing and felt a calling to return to education. I focused my time on a M.A. in English from Northwest Missouri State University and completed my degree in 2010. During my studies, I had the opportunity to teach an introductory composition course and enjoyed my time with the students. Once I completed my degree, I tried to find a way to start my P.H.D. but life has a funny way of changing plans. I started working in broadcast and fell back into the customer service sector. While here, I finished and published the first book in my fantasy trilogy. This rekindled my passion for writing and helping people. So, I returned to school to pursue an M.A.A. in Techincal Communication. This degree has honed my business writing skills and lead me to tutor three amazing Chinese students through the program. Currently, I am teaching Composition at Missouri Western State University and publishing with my company Amazing Things Press.
