I am currently a student at the Rutgers University Honors College studying Cell Biology and Neuroscience. I have experience tutoring students in elementary through high school, and mainly tutor in scientific/mathematical areas. I strongly believe that, in order to understand something, it is crucial to understand the mechanisms behind why it works, and thus I stress understanding underlying concepts in tutoring. I always look to relate to the students that I tutor to not only become their friend but also to better understand their way of thinking and thus how it is easiest for them to break down difficult subjects into simple concepts. Through this method, I've found that anyone can understand even the most difficult concepts, and as such, I truly do believe that it is possible to learn even the most difficult material, regardless of the amount of knowledge you begin with.
