I received my Masters in biology from McGill University, where I studied the ecology and physiology of weakly electric fish. I'm currently an adjunct lecturer at SUNY Cortland, where I teach introductory biology labs. I've loved teaching ever since I started tutoring fellow students in chemistry during high school. Science is such a fun subject for me, and I strive to make it as fun as I possibly can for my students. The more that you enjoy learning material, the more likely you are to internalize the concepts. I like to use fun pneumonic devices, songs, and sometimes Lego models to help students learn what they need to and enjoy the process!
Outside of teaching, I spend most of my time playing music, fishing, playing frisbee, or listening to podcasts!
