Certified Tutor

I am a undergraduate student at New York University. I graduated with honors from Vernon Hills High School in Vernon Hills, Illinois. In high school, I was a part of a program that mentored underclassmen and tutored them in math, english and reading for standardized tests. I worked with them to prepare for testing. My favorite subject to tutor is math because I can help students connect conceptual ideas with how to apply them and solve problems. I am a firm believer in "practice makes perfect". Practice and large amounts of exposure is the only way to succeed in a subject, so I will go over a topic multiple times if necessary. I will not skim over areas that any students may potentially have difficulty with. Outside of academia, I love reading, running, and figure skating. I am very patient and bubbly and I strive to make learning fun!
