Certified Tutor

I am a medical intern in the greater Boston area who will be starting an ophthalmology residency after this year.

I went to Vanderbilt University for my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Medicine, Health, and Society. I also received my Medical Doctor (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees at the Vanderbilt School of Medicine.

I was a tutor for Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science, where I provided science tutoring for children in elementary and middle school. I also served as an Anatomy and Physiology tutor in medical school.

I am happy to tutor students in English, Critical Reading, Writing, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, admissions essays, and medical school exams/preparation for admissions. We can also work on other subjects together on a case by case basis.
What subjects do you tutor?

My favorite subject to tutor is usually writing and critical reading. Also, happy to work on helping people applying to college, medical school, or residency.

My teaching philosophy/tutoring style is empowering students to feel like they are in charge of their learning and mastery of the subjects. My job is to help you create a game plan for success in the classroom and beyond.

Outside of academia, I spend my free time reading voraciously, writing for news outlets including Huffington Post, Washington Post, and Kevin MD. I also run a nonprofit that works on mobile health technology implementation in low resource settings. I also love to sing, try out new recipes, and practicing yoga to destress (though I can't say I'm very good at it!)
