I believe that a good education is one of the most important tools in life. Everyone learns and grows differently and it is my mission to help students develop skills that will help them be successful in school as well as in life. The key to succeeding in an educational environment is not just memorization of facts, but understanding the process of how to come to a correct answer. My mission is to help students learn not only the subject they are studying, but how to approach any problem or material that they might encounter.
I am originally from Kansas and came to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt University. I graduated with a degree in History as well as minors in Corporate Strategy and Financial Economics. My focus was in medieval and renaissance Europe, but I enjoy learning about any part of history. Outside of academics I enjoy sports (particularly KU and Vanderbilt basketball), reading fantasy and sci-fi novels, and finding a new TV show to binge watch.
