I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

I love teaching and find it rewarding and end up learning in the process. I think teaching is the most important thing I can do, especially teaching critical thinking and a need to explore ideas and confirm them--for students to have confidence that they can reason through problems.

I am blessed to have a diverse and incredibly rich background in science and business and now I live in rural New York in a giant 1960s dairy barn (with a modern apartment built into the parlor area and a few of the stalls).

Much of my income comes from teaching. I currently have two sections of statistics online that I am teaching for Gwynedd Mercy University were I serve as an adjunct lecturer.

It has been me and three kids since 2010. My youngest child is an adult now and I am preparing applications to enter a PhD program in economics (though I am also thinking about neuroscience and certainly love the intersection of the two).

I love music and play with my son mostly. We're trying to get something together to play out. We have a small farm and we are planning a guitar shop. My 20-year old son (my youngest) is a certified Luthier and makes beautiful guitars. We have a steer named Mr. Speckles (who will become an ox because I just can't see eating him at this point) and chickens, ducks, and geese, and a garden. My daughters are off on their own adventures.

I have a BS degree in Biotechnology from Northeastern University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. I scored high on the GMAT (710) and can help with skills required for these types of tests.
