I've tutored dozens of students in all subjects as a homebound tutor for my local high school. I'd get the work from the teachers and take it to the students and go through every lesson with them. I've taught every high school subject multiple times, and, if I had to pick a favorite, I would probably pick Geometry. I think teaching is a creative process, and I don't have any set way of doing it. I just see what works with a new student and build from there. I love getting to the point where I know someone enough to see if they understand what I am saying, or if they are zoning out, or if they are trying but they just don't quite understand yet. I've been a freelance bookkeeper since 1996. I visit my clients every week or so and pay their bills, balance their checkbooks, etc. I'm also a published writer; I've written for magazines for years. I currently design sewing projects and write articles about them for various sewing magazines. I'm a mom to three amazing young adults. I live with my husband, my son, a very large dog and a very small cat.
