I am a graduate of the University of Texas (Bachelors) and the University of Minnesota (Masters), and a current working professional. I served as a mentor and teaching assistant throughout my Masters, and have worked in various sectors of the non-profit/education/art industries for the past decade, including museums, standardized testing centers, and even dance studios. I have a unique, extensive background in writing, business, and the sciences, and currently teach dance for a living.
I have a personalized approach to teaching, because learning styles differ widely and teaching strategies are not always easily matched to student needs. I try not only to create understanding for subjects, but to also instill confidence and creative thinking in my students to help them develop the skills they need to become a better student.
When not teaching, I love to travel, read, and watch bad reality cooking shows.
