Certified Tutor

I was born and raised in Mexico. When I was a senior in High School I had the privilege of going to Minnesota as a foreign exchange student. Even though I had previously learned written English at school and in private classes, during my time in Minnesota I learned to better understand spoken English as well as colloquialisms I hadnt learned in school.
After graduating from High School I went back to Mexico to earn a Bachelors degree in Computer Systems Engineering. Following graduation I worked in the IT field for a few years. Later I immigrated to the United States. I am now a US citizen and work as a Sign Language interpreter.
Over the years I have used my knowledge of Spanish to interpret for Spanish Speaking people in Business, Medical and Educational settings, as well as for tutoring Spanish speaking parents of deaf children in American Sign Language. I love languages and I feel very fortunate to have been bilingual most of my life, and trilingual more recently. What I love about knowing other languages is that it helps me connect with more people; I can communicate with people that speak Spanish, English or Sign Language, and that is a big percentage of the worlds population. I appreciate having the opportunity to share that knowledge with others.
