Certified Tutor
I am an elementary school teacher with a BA in Creative Writing from Hunter College and a MS in Education from Brooklyn College. I worked as an educator for years before becoming a certified teacher. I was a reading and writing tutor at Hunter College, an after-school teacher for middle schoolers in Brooklyn, and the Arts and Entertainment Editor of my college newspaper.
I love working with students of all ages and watching them grow and gain mastery of different subjects through questioning and feedback. I am careful to meet my students at the level they are on, tailor my instruction to their needs, and set clear goals with them that we can achieve together! I am particularly passionate about writing and reading, as that was the subject I majored in for my undergraduate degree.
Outside of teaching, I love going to the movies, reading fiction, visiting museums, baking, and going on bike rides all around NYC.
