My goal is to give each student capabilities for success. Through the teaching of problem solving and critical thinking skills, a solid foundation for success can be built. Some of the learning and study strategies I hope to improve include:
Time management
Task management
Project planning
Note taking methods
Test anxiety management
Learning the language of science, science terminology, is extremely important in order to master the entire topic. In physics and chemistry, a well-developed process can determine success. This process includes:
1. Identifying all given information
2. Formulating a plan
3. Taking advantage of the tools available (i.e. formulas)
4. Solving the problem
Utilizing a variety of tools in my lesson to present each concept in multiple ways enables me to identify a students individual learning style. By building on strengths, I can enhance success.
