I've long had a passion for chemistry, and in particular, organic chemistry. The fundamental processes of bonds breaking and forming, thus giving rise to the world around us is "mind blowing". Being able to share this passion with others through teaching and tutoring helps make that important connection that chemistry is all around us AND impacts us everyday. Reducing the concepts to events we experience everyday helps the student understand the formal laws of chemistry, leading to a more enriching learning opportunity. Be it a student interested in a career in medicine, nursing, engineering, or the physical/natural sciences, a fundamental knowledge of chemistry allows viewing and solving problems in a new light. I relish the opportunity to turn on that "light" for others.
