Im a junior at Rockhurst University who's working towards a biology and a psychology degree on a pre-med track. Throughout my academic career Ive had lots of great experiences working with students in an academic capacity. While Im comfortable tutoring a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate working with students in science, writing, and standardized test preparation. During freshman year, I tutored chemistry at a Kansas City high school ranging from introductory level courses all the way to AP. The time I spent with these students was some of the most meaningful time of my first year at college. Writing is also something Ive come to love over the years. In high school, I served as editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper. My primary role was to instruct my fellow staffers on how to develop a systematic approach to writing and also how to master an effective, high level writing style. Lastly, Ive assisted students with standardized test preparation. Not an exciting way to spend the summer, but all the students Ive worked with have not regretted the success they achieved from their hard work!

When I engage with students, not only do I try to help them understand the concrete concepts of their given subject, but also I really emphasize the importance of developing effective study methods which are integral to future success in rigorous courses.

Ive been blessed with great opportunities in my academic career, and I sincerely enjoy providing the support students need to be proud of their achievements and happy with their capabilities. In my spare time, I enjoy putting off being productive by spending time with my 19-pound cat, Tuxedo, attempting to cook, and playing the piano.
