Certified Tutor

With over ten years experience in the high school classroom, I am offering my skills and expertise with all things literature and English related. Over the years, I have taught grades 9 through 12 in all levels from Conceptual level courses to AP Literature and Composition.

I am passionate about my work and students, patient, kind, and have a pretty good sense of humor when things become stressful. I have an innate ability to connect with my students and adapt my materials (often in the moment) so that every student can be reached. I know that every person is capable of learning and I will find the path to help all succeed.

While most of my time is spent in the high school classroom, I also have experience teaching at the middle school levels and working as a tutor for elementary aged children.

As an educator, I believe it is my job to help students learn to teach themselves. So, while tutoring in the areas of weakness, I'm also working with students to develop confidence in their abilities and their skills in finding the answers on their own. I'm simply working to help students recognize their potential.
