I graduated from Duke with a BS in Neuroscience and minors in biology and chemistry. Despite this, my favorite subject was physics! I was heavily involved with molecular biology research as an undergraduate and afterwards have continued my research career at The Scripps Research Institute, working on biochemical drug development projects exploring the molecular mechanisms of metabolic diseases. This Fall, I will be beginning a Masters in Translational Medicine, a joint program by UCSF and UC Berkeley.

I have had teaching/tutoring experience since High School, where I tutored all math subjects up to Calculus BC. At Duke, I was a peer tutor for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, and served as an instructor for Duke's Innoworks Summer Science Camp for two years. I understand that internalizing math and science concepts isn't always easy, but it's rewarding and interesting. My priority is to ensure that my students develop the fundamental understanding of difficult concepts needed for fluent application and problem solving skills. I like to break things down, use clear analogies, draw easy-to-understand visuals, whatever it takes for that lightbulb moment.

During my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, playing basketball, and have several art and music hobbies.
