I have been helping both peers and younger students my whole academic career first as a friend, then as a paid tutor. I have always loved to share my knowledge and experiences with those who are struggling in their endeavors to succeed in school. What I learned over the years is that we all stumble into problems and difficulties at some point, and we all manage to overcome these challenges by asking others how they solved their own. That is what problem solving and tutoring should be all about: humbly admitting your own mistakes and difficulties, and sharing the solutions to those problems with those you are tutoring.
