My name is Sumayyah Abdul-Hadi and I am 22 years old. I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts where I spent my childhood in a private school founded by my mother. The school had a great impact on me and it helped shape my perspectives from early on. Spending much of my childhood in an educational setting inspired and allowed me to become the passionate leader that I am today.
Shortly after graduating from high-school, I moved to Maryland where I took about a year to get acclimated to my new routine and environment before applying to colleges. Currently, I am enrolled in an accelerated Bachelor’s program at Grand Canyon University taking online classes. I am double majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education and foresee myself Graduating in 2018.
I have gained a wide range of experience in the discipline it takes to teach and assist teachers by tutoring, volunteering and most recently working as an assistant teacher. I have a strong background in teaching all subjects to Elementary students including specialty subjects. I truly value creativity and love to share my enthusiasm with my students.

A little bit more about me: In my free time, I enjoy painting, hiking, bike ridding, boating, volunteer work or simply relaxing at home with a cup of tea. I love teaching and children just about as much as I love animals . Though I do have a hamster, I secretly hope to somehow manage to sneak a kitten into the house despite my husbands allergies.
