Madeleine: White Plains tutor
Certified Tutor
I began tutoring as a part of City Year Philadelphia in the 2014-2015 school year. During this year I worked with 6th grade students in math, reading, science, social studies, and art, and fell in love with education. I am currently attending Temple University for Art Education, Art History, and Community Arts. I have been working in educational roles for the past 2 and a half years.
Despite a strong interest in studio art, I also have strong academic interests. I love reading about history, language, and current events.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe strongly that each student brings their own unique set of assets to their learning environment. By identifying these assets, we can learn to utilize them to master the material. Even qualities or conditions one may view as a "deficit" can be turned into a strength and asset.
