Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn. Benjamin Franklin. Those words should strike a nerve with most educators (Teachers/ Instructors). Teaching has a wide variety of definitions; but my perception of teaching involves the art of inspiration. I graduated from Houston Community College with an Associate Degree in Engineering Science (Specialization in Mechanical Engineering). Im currently pursuing a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics at Texas Tech University.
Throughout my college years - as a member of academic honor societies, such as (Phi Theta Kappa, National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), International Dean's List Society (IDLS) and more) - I have had the opportunity to inspire and tutor fellow scholars within the networks of these societies. My passion for mathematics and other physical science courses fueled my desire to tutor others to think effectively and critically in order to attain their full learning potential in those courses.
Consequently, I believe to teach = to inspire. When tutoring, I motivate and inspire others to think critically, however, using their daily surrounding as a medium to communicate and portray information helps me precisely connect with my scholars
All work no play makes anyone an uninteresting person, as such, I enjoy playing soccer, basketball, flying, shooting, billiards, and spending time in the great outdoors. Thank you for taking time to view my profile.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Understanding a student's learning style and environment stimulates the brain to think in a certain way. Nurturing those traits could help a student become an independent learner.
