If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Take extra time trying to teach them the concept they are having difficulty with.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
If students are struggling with reading comprehension, I would ask them what is confusing them and try to explain the best I can with whatever is confusing them.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I want everyone to learn at their own capacity, and to learn everything they want and need too.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Introduce myself, and listen to my student's introduction.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I can help a student become an independent learner by teaching them skills so they can do things on their own without help.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
I have found that being patient and understanding to a student's needs is very important.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
I would try to make the subject as exciting as possible, and also have them tell me how to make it more interesting for them.
