I attended and graduated from UC Berkeley, where I pursued Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Immunology. I worked as a peer tutoring during college and I currently tutor for a non-profit organization that targets high school students.
I speak English and Chinese; I speak both Cantonese and Mandarin.
My strengths as a tutor are threefold. I like to focus on exam skills. I also like to build special study methods to help students improve study efficiency. Finally, I like to focus on the basics of each subject and make sure the student understands before moving on to more complicated concepts.

What is your teaching philosophy?
(First step) Understand the material/ basic concept of the subject instead of memorizing. (Second step) Try to apply it to practical questions. (Last Step) Refine the learned material; try to tickle questions in different angles and develop critical thinking.
