Noah: Woodridge tutor
Certified Tutor
I have been teaching ELLs (English Language Learners) for six years; the last three were spent living in Vietnam, where I taught grammar and conversation to Kindergartners to adults, and privately tutored high school students hoping to go to college in the U.S. I believe that words have power, and we have a responsibility to use them to communicate clearly and effectively, whether we are speaking across cultures or writing a report.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is very student centered. I hope students will gain the skills to articulate clearly on their own, and won't need me anymore.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I have become adept at asking questions and creating worksheets to guide students to self-discovery. I grade lessons carefully until I am sure students can teach me everything I have taught them.
