What is your teaching philosophy?
I put myself in the student's shoes. I often ask myself, if I'm the student, what will be the most confusing part?
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I ask the student what is bothering him and what he knows about the subject.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I teach the student the strategy of learning. It often involves identifying the problem first and figuring out what to look for.
