Certified Tutor

I came to the United States from China in my early 20's to pursue my masters degree in accounting. I'm a full-time certified public accountant and have been living in St. Louis, Missouri since 2014. Before 2014, I'd lived in Illinois, New York, and New Jersey for over six years. Although my current last name is a German last name which comes from my marriage, I never forget where I am from originally and what my heritage means to me. My native language is Mandarin Chinese and I have a strong passion in helping people understand and improve their Chinese language skills. I always believe being able to speak and understand another language can open a door for a person to see the world from a different perspective. There are so many aspects behind a language, such as culture, people, and people's ways of thinking. When I was in graduate school, I worked part-time as a Chinese tutor for a U.S. professor who studied Chinese during his spare time. I was delighted to see him continuously improve his Chinese skills! I am motivated to help more people learn and improve their Chinese language skills. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, traveling, running, hiking and spending time with my family and friends.
