Ever since my freshman year in high school, I would help my friends with their math homework and science problems. My talent for passing on knowledge was professionally realized when I began working as a tutor at my high school, and later at the University of Michigan. As a junior at UM, I have now been tutoring students in a wide variety of areas such as ACT/SAT preparation, PSAT preparation, and in their academic courses as well. I am in my third year of completing my Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, and as a result have developed a heavy focus in mathematics and science courses. For this reason, when I am not teaching standardized test preparation, I often tutor high school and college level mathematics as well as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
I often suggest reading articles that I myself have read and am familiar with, in order to help them become comfortable with deeper levels of reading comprehension and capability.
