What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is that, with enough effort, everyone can succeed. The path to success will be different for everyone, but if we work together, we'll find it!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first meeting with a student, I would like to get to know them as a person and find out their hobbies, interests, and favorite things. From there, we can discuss their learning style and how to overcome roadblocks to their success.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Students become independent learners because of two factors. The first is that the goals for their success are clearly understood, and secondly, that the student has developed the comprehension skills to extract the required information from whatever content they are faced with.
