What is your teaching philosophy?
Student and Teacher working together to reach a common goal. The teaching process grows from the student's goals and objectives for the subject matter.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
First and foremost, get to know them as a person. Answer any initial questions they might have for me or the subject matter, and start to develop a plan of attack.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Through learning their interests, aptitudes, and hobbies, I would attempt to funnel learning material through those veins. Also, help develop their courage for speaking Spanish with others outside of tutoring sessions.
