I am a recent college graduate with a general passion for knowledge in a wide swath of subject matters. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors of Science in both Linguistics and Biochemistry, and took a number of classes in the music department as well. I enjoy teaching others, and learning in the process. While I have not tutored extensively in the past, I have helped others with academic subjects informally; I feel that my communication skills coupled with the joy I feel when seeing something finally 'click' for someone will make me both effective and fun.

I have taken college level calculus, and statistics for psychological sciences. I am good at communicating abstract concepts with examples, and working through problems in a way that the underlying mathematical principle is apparent. I also have done some work editing scientific research papers, and enjoy writing on my own. As such, I have a passion for language and grammar. My biochemistry degree suits me to working with students interested in the physical sciences. I feel that I am good at sharing in the wonder behind seemingly dull concepts, and sparking interest in science beyond the memorization of facts.

I feel comfortable in tutoring both in the physical and social sciences, as well as mathematics, ELA and composition, or general organizational/study skills. I can tutor for SAT or ACT exams. I strive to be adaptable to the learning requirements of the student in particular, and will work to meet concrete learning goals through incremental steps; I am always looking for feedback, so that I can better tailor the tutoring to the individual.
