I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from Hofstra University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Stony Brook University. I am certified to teach both English and Social Studies (grades 6-12) in the state of Florida. I was a state -certified English and Social Studies teacher in NY, where I worked for nearly a decade before relocating to sunny Florida. I tutor students of all abilities, from pre-K to 12, from the basics of reading, writing and math, to Study Skills and Organization, preparation for middle and high school, and test taking strategies.

I am very involved in helping elementary, middle school and high school students excel on the FSA's, Terra Nova exams, and other standardized tests. I work one-on-one with my students to develop and promote literacy skills and content support in English Language Arts; History; Economics and Government; Math and Science.
