I am a native Japanese speaker. I was born and raised in Japan. After attending Meiji Gakuin University in Japan, I moved to the United States. I am able to speak, read and write both Japanese and English. I have two young sons, and I have taught them how to speak and write in both English and Japanese--they are bilingual. I am easy going, friendly and very patient. I change my tutoring style to match the needs of the student.

Encourage them, and make tutoring sessions fun.

Reconsider the level of the tutoring session and make it more of a fit for the student.

Reduce the level of reading material.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Keep giving a positive comment to a student.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
Find out what is the goal for the student.
