Greetings! I am a history major at California State University Fresno. I am currently in my senior year, having earned my associate's degree from Fresno City College in 2013. I find the study of history quite interesting, as it allows us to see how people lived, spoke, and thought long ago. I also find it important because I feel if more people studied history, mankind may perhaps avoid making the same mistakes as those who came before. This is the main reason I am a historian.
Aside from history, I am also very good at essay editing. I pay particular attention to grammar and mechanics, as these areas can be difficult for many students to master. Word flow is also important of course and I can help ensure that your essay makes sense and gets the main idea across.
My favorite course to study and to tutor is German. I took three years of German in high school and one year in college. I am currently enrolled in a German essay writing course as part of my plan to minor in German. I truly love the German language, history, and culture and when I finally got to go to Germany on a study abroad trip in July 2015, it was a dream come true.
I partake in various hobbies when I'm not busy with school or volunteering; one of which is reading. I tend to read novels and books dealing with historical subjects, but I enjoy reading fiction as well. I also enjoy travelling and have been to many places throughout California. Studying abroad not only let me experience other cultures, it also showed me how much fun international travel can be. I definitely plan to travel abroad the next chance I get. I like hiking as well and do most of my hiking in and around Yosemite National Park. I also play video games as a hobby and while some might see this as a negative thing, I believe gaming in moderation is perfectly acceptable.
