Tutoring started as little more than a satisfying "hobby" for me over 20 years ago, long before I finished grad school, worked as an Organic chemist in R and D, and became a college professor.

From then until the present day I've continued to stay active and refine my teaching skills in various chemistry areas (including organic), math and standardized test prep. It is fun and gratifying to see the instant feedback and rapid progress that can come from direct interaction of one student working closely with an experienced "guide". As an instructor in Higher Ed I can attest that these "breakthrough" moments are possible, but harder to achieve in a classroom.

My career in applied chemistry and dual experience with group and individual instruction has provided me with good tools for both "reading" students and producing real-life examples of how science works.

Finally, I always look forward to meeting new learners and helping them clear the brush in order to blaze the trail to better learning.
