Harold: Sugar Land tutor

Certified Tutor

I am a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Alabama A&M University in May of 2005. I also received my Master of Science degree in Biology from Alabama A&M University in December of 2010. My concentration at that level was Microbiology. Having participated in collegiate athletics for three years, I was able to manage my time as an athlete and student very well. Being recognized as the Scholar Athlete of the Year at my University is one of my proudest accomplishments. Through personal experiences, I can relate to many issues students may experience due to time constraints. I am renowned for being able to motivate, relate to, and coach my students to achieve their highest academic abilities.

Currently, I am teaching Microbiology at the junior college level. I have taught other life sciences at this level such as Human Anatomy 1 and 2. I am a sociable person who has a natural ability of talking to and building relationships with any and everyone regardless of socioeconomic status. I have absolutely loved science from the time I could walk and that love for science has propelled me into the world of education. I come from a family of educators and plan to continue blazing that path. When it comes to motivating my students and coming up with fun innovative ways to help them learn, I consider myself second to none.

Outside of academia, I take a vested interest in sports and am still an active athlete myself. I love fitness. I serve as a website administrator for the Rivals.com network and also have a past of playing the trumpet at the professional level. Being a well-rounded and sociable individual with confidence on display has helped me to draw the best confidence and consistent efforts of my students. I look forward to the opportunity to help students achieve their goals in regards to science. Seeing them succeed is a very gratifying experience for me as an educator.
