I am a certified teacher with classroom experience teaching English, math, Russian, and intercultural communication. I also have five years of experience tutoring a broad spectrum of students, including gifted students, special needs students, established business professionals, and athletes striving to qualify for the Olympics while earning their degrees. I have always enjoyed teaching others about the things I love and am a life-long learner myself. I enjoy crafting interactive activities for students who struggle with traditional instruction and help students connect what they are learning to their interests and goals.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Building motivation is key to students' success. I strive to make all learning relevant by tying it to my students' interests, goals, and world to make my enthusiasm infectious!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In our first session, we will identify your strengths and weaknesses in the subject by discussing and reviewing recent assignments and working together on corrections or similar practice problems. Finally, we will set short- and long-term goals.
