Certified Tutor

I received my undergraduate degrees from Florida State University in Spring 2015. I have a degree in International Affairs with a concentration in public administration/emergency management and a degree in Chinese Language and Culture with a minor in English.

I started tutoring in high school through National Honors Society and by working as a volunteer tutoring low-scoring FCAT students in academics and test prep. My university had a large foreign student population and outreach program, and I had the opportunity to make close friendships helping my peers who were studying English as a second language. My language department also emphasized students aiding each other in informal learning environments; during my senior year I took a leadership role in language review, games, and ad lib with my department. My tutoring experience has focused on standardized test prep and English, but I have also taught skills like time management. I make it my goal to learn alongside my tutee!

In my spare time, I love writing, gardening, computer programming, and language study. I started learning Japanese for fun this year, and I am also reviewing Spanish!
