Certified Tutor

I am a Junior at Southern Methodist University. I am majoring in Applied Mathematics and minoring in both Creative Computation and Computer Science. I have a lot of experience tutoring. For the duration of my spring semester of my sophomore year, I tutored at a low-income public school on the western side of Dallas. I made sure the students understood by making them feel comfortable with not understanding a concept. By establishing this comfort, I was able to get honest responses when a topic or idea was not understood. My favorite subjects to teach are upper level maths, because you can build on understanding by deriving the formulas needed. Outside of school, I like to work out, code, and read.
